At the Blue Chihuahua, we believe in giving back to the community. That’s why we’ve created Gru’s Treasure Hunt. It provides a fun and challenging activity for individuals, friends, and families throughout the country, while also giving back to their communities. For every treasure won, we donate $10,000 to help other pets!
Gru "Felonious" (A.K.A Gru) is a blue chihuahua - unique in that they cannot be bred, only nature can create one. He was found on the street and spent 2 years alone in a shelter! Gru was rescued and found his new home to be a treasure to him, so he came up with a plan.
Gru's plan: Help other shelter animals by bringing "unique" people together to have fun, see "the world" and hunt for treasure worth $5,000! AND when Gru's treasure is found, Gru's company, The Blue Chihuahua will also make a donation of $10,000 to help other pets find their treasure!
When you find a treasure - you can help Gru pick from Charities like: K9's for Warriors, Pet's for Patriots, Pawsitivity Service Dogs and local animal shelters!

I wanted to say what a fun time I had on Saturday on the treasure hunt. It was such a fun family affair. My step dad was my brain and researcher, he was so into it, on the phone with us the full way. And my Grandma was my copilot! My 76 year old grandma and I needed an excuse to get out of the house and spend a day doing something fun, the prize may have been $5,000 but our day was priceless and for that, I thank you.

Remember, if you sign up as a group, only one prize check will be issued, so it will be up to you to figure out how to split the winnings among your group. Once on the Gru’s Treasure Hunt page, navigate to your state’s treasure hunt and sign up! We may provide a tentative date for your hunt, but we won’t decide on the actual date until we have 1,000 participants signed up. Once we have enough people participating, we’ll send you an email with the details.
